The restaurant was a highlight, with delicious food and a welcoming, friendly team. It’s also a good fit for a family holiday with kids. We stayed last August and found the place full of authentic character; our recently renovated room had everything we needed. We’re already looking forward to coming back next summer!

The lovely wine was fairly priced, and the food was plentiful, tasty, and quick to arrive. We’d come here after getting an awfully rude, surly reception at Schwarzes Kreuz next door, so the difference was striking. The Kettler staff greeted us warmly and couldn’t have been more cheerful, helpful, or accommodating. They rescued our evening. Thank you for such a pleasant experience!

We were so happy with our two-night stay last week. The atmosphere was fabulous, and the place was nice and clean. Breakfast and dinner were unlike anything I’d had before. The chef was professional, always smiling, and friendly with the guests, and the waitress was lovely and cheerful too. I’d give it 10/10. I’m sure I’ll stay here again when I come back to Nürenberg. I’ll never forget this place, especially the meals.

A rural setting, a playground, and several meals for kids make this a very welcoming restaurant for families. The meals we tried were very good and filling, though we felt they were a little too expensive.
