Hotel Thesdorfer Hof

The stay was noisy too: some guests held a barbecue party in the parking lot right by my window, and they were clearly very drunk, late into the evening. When I raised it, the hotel offered a free breakfast. I’d have preferred them to deal with the guests and ask them to keep it down. You can’t run a hotel from your sofa. I’ll never stay here again. I booked a quadruple room for one night, but it only had two beds. I didn’t need more, though it made me wonder what would happen if I had. I arrived at 8 pm to find nobody there, and the website hadn’t mentioned that reception would be closed. I managed to call someone and got a code for the keys. Then, at 8:17 pm, they texted me to say I needed a code. The guest registration form was there too, but no pen. In the bathroom bin I found food waste that smelled, and there was hair from the previous guest in the bed. The linens clearly hadn’t been changed. I complained by text and got an apology saying they were fully booked and staff hadn’t had time to clean properly, followed by an invitation to come back. Seriously? They let me sleep in used linens, with food from the previous guest stinking up the room, and that was their best response?
