We stayed for two weeks in August 2025 in Bergschlössl apartment 23. The second-floor view in the picture is lovely, and we had a fantastic time. There’s plenty of parking, though no elevator. The town is walkable and has lots of shopping; during our stay, Edeka was still being renovated. Other stores, including Edeka, Lidl, Rewe, Takko, Tedi, and Netto, are a few kilometers away. There’s also a Sparkasse and a Volksbank in town. Apartment 23 was genuinely clean throughout. The separate toilet room was spotless, including the seat, floor, and corners. The shower room was clean too, with a spacious modern shower, comfortable clean floor, clear drain, clean tiles and grout, and no mold. The glass partition had no limescale or deposits, and the shower head and sink were clean. Upstairs, the double bed and mattress were in great shape, with a mattress protector and no stains. The bed does creak when you turn over, but it didn’t bother us. Downstairs, the kitchenette had the essentials and was spotless along with the rest of the room. There are only two burners, so it’s not set up for elaborate cooking, but that was enough for us. The sofa was comfortable to sleep on and folds out into a bed. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony, which also has a clothes rack. There’s a vacuum cleaner for everyone to use in the bright, pleasant shared hallway. Laundry is in the basement. A load costs €4 in €1 coins, and the dryer is free. I’d bring your own detergent just in case. There’s also a great basement playroom with lots of toys for children up to about seven, and it’s free to use. The activity booklet is particularly useful, with places and street names laid out clearly for rainy or sunny days, for kids and adults alike. Everyone gets a guest card with discounts and free travel on certain train routes. If you have a request or suggestion, ask the staff and they’ll take care of it promptly, doing their best to help.
