Barbara made us feel so welcome and was wonderfully attentive. Breakfast was a treat each morning, with a great range of food, and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel is beautifully decorated, too. The town is tiny and quiet, making this a lovely stop between France and Prague. Restaurants and the wonderful city of Bamberg are only a short drive away. We had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend it.

The food is what made this place a five-star stay for me: the roasts were incredible, the potato dumplings were softball-sized, and there was a great choice of drinks. It’s a real gem. Barbara was lovely and helpful, and the place itself is beautiful. My room was comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and inexpensive.

Even on New Year’s Eve, it stayed quiet and peaceful 😁. Such a charming family-run hotel, with cute rooms that are nicely decorated.

The landlady was genuinely lovely and helpful, and the rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Just keep in mind that there’s hardly any cell phone reception in the village and no shops. We recommend stopping at the wine tavern for wine and a snack, especially Gerupfter!.
