The value for money here is outstanding. Sure, there are newer, nicer hotels with more service, but in this area they can cost two or three times as much. The owners were very friendly, and the house was lovely. We had a small balcony and a kitchenette with a fridge, stove, and sink, which meant we could cook for ourselves. The bathroom was tiny but did the job. I saw another review complaining about having to clean the kitchen yourself. That's true, but without this place you'd usually have no kitchen at all.

We paid 225 euros for a week in a double room for two people, which I thought was quite reasonable. Dogs seem to be welcome too, for a small extra fee. The Lehmann family were warm and helpful, and the balcony or terrace gives you a lovely view. The guesthouse is conveniently placed for getting around on foot. The supermarket, Oberharmersbach Dorf train station, and the town of Oberharmersbach are all within walking distance. All in all, highly recommended.

The owners are very nice, and the area is beautiful. The rooms feel quite dated, especially the bathroom, and from the bed you're looking straight at the small kitchenette with the TV. We might return, possibly to a larger apartment.

The breakfast and garden were pleasant, but the double room we booked on Booking.com was a complete disappointment. It was tiny, with a cramped, gloomy bathroom, and the heat in the attic was unbearable. The other rooms are surely very nice, but I wouldn't recommend this one.
