Since 2022, we’ve been coming to Oberhof for the Rennsteig Run and turning it into a week’s holiday at the Sonnenruh holiday apartment. The hosts are so warm and friendly, and the apartment has everything we need at a reasonable price. There’s also plenty to do nearby. We always enjoy coming back.

We felt welcome and at ease right away. The owners were courteous and friendly, and the apartment was so thoughtfully equipped, right down to the smallest detail. A top-notch place to stay. Thanks for a wonderful visit, we’d love to return.

Both the town center and the cross-country ski trails are only a few minutes away, and the owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. A beautiful holiday apartment in a great spot, just the kind of thing that makes a holiday enjoyable! 😊

The owners are so kind and friendly, and the apartment itself has everything you could need. It’s easy to get to both town and the hiking trails from this excellent location. Highly recommended.

The Thuringian Forest is a wonderful area for relaxing or getting active, whether in summer or winter. With the great holiday apartment and such friendly hosts, this is a lovely place to stay.
