Hotel Pension Sonnenschein

We enjoy staying here whenever business takes us to Freiberg and the surrounding area. We’ve come for several years, always on the last weekend before Christmas, and even as the last guests of the year we’re welcomed warmly. The rooms are small but quite adequate, with simple yet appealing furnishings. They’re always clean and well kept, including the bathrooms. We asked about bringing our well-behaved dog, and that’s never been a problem.

The room was still cold when we arrived, even though we’d booked ahead and given our arrival time. It was only 5 degrees Celsius outside, and turning up the heating made no difference, so we left without getting anything done. The guesthouse seems to have seen better days, in my opinion. That makes it all the more important to make an effort for each guest, but we didn’t feel that happened here. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend it.

The rooms were spotless and nicely furnished. It’s a lovely guesthouse for a relaxing few days.

Relatively good. The rooms were tidy, but unfortunately there was no TV.
