Pension Margarete

The Wi-Fi worked well, though cell reception depended on the provider. I was looking for somewhere quiet, and this fit the bill. The mattresses felt too firm for me, but sleep comfort is personal and everyone is different.

Watching the fallow deer grazing from the terrace or balcony was pure relaxation. We came back for a second stay and were completely happy with the quiet we came for. The hosts always tried to help whenever something came up, and the Wi-Fi was there as described for anyone who needed it. I can't confirm the complaints about the rooms or internet connection. Breakfast had enough regional products, including homemade jam, and made a good start to the day. In the evenings, the honesty fridge stocked with water, beer, and wine from the family’s own production was a treat. Top marks for anyone wanting to slow down and relax in a family setting. Thanks so much for a lovely stay. We'll be back.

Breakfast had everything we needed to get the day started, and we could enjoy it or spend time together on the terrace. The rooms were spotless. It's a lovely little family-run guesthouse, and our dog was welcome, even in the breakfast room. Many thanks to Mrs. Baumann.

The location is lovely, and the attached restaurant and winery are nice too. Everyone was friendly. The rooms were another story. There was no mattress protector, just a fitted sheet between me and the mattress, which felt very unpleasant and unhygienic. The shower wall had mold, the sink drained badly, and there was no outlet in the bathroom. When I tried the outlet outside the door, it came loose from the wall. Breakfast was meant to start at 8:00 AM, but we didn't get our rolls until 8:30, so it's not a good fit for early risers. Nothing was labeled. It's a shame, because the guesthouse has a lot of potential, but I won't return.
