Hotel Haus Daheim

The balcony had a lovely view, and it was quiet at night. Our room was on the top floor, with steps leading to the bathroom and shower. That wasn’t a problem for us. The rooms were clean, and breakfast at the nearby Hotel Adler was delicious. We could even eat outside. The Restaurant Adler served excellent food too, and the staff were very friendly. We stayed at Haus Daheim and would definitely book there again.

The restaurant served good food, and the reception and service were superbly competent, courteous, and friendly. Everything else at the Adler was excellent. The single room itself, though, was much too small. It showed a lot of wear: the blinds were stiff, the toilet cramped, the sink tiny, and there was quite a bit of limescale and some mold in the shower. The shower cubicle was an adequate size, and the interior furnishings were still okay.

We’d happily stay at Haus Daheim again. Everything worked out perfectly, and the location suited us well. The rooms are simple, most have balconies, and parking is free. Breakfast is served at Haus Adler.

By the time I reached Hotel Adler in the evening, it was already dark. After a long trip and a two-hour delay, I used Google Maps to wind through the narrow streets to Haus Daheim. There were no signs and the building had no lights, so arriving with heavy luggage was a challenge. I had to carry everything upstairs to the first floor, since there’s no elevator, and then use a flashlight because the hallway lights weren’t working. The room was okay, though it’s showing its age. The phone didn’t work, and the bathroom was very small. Breakfast was alright, about a five-minute walk away at Hotel Adler.
