Hotel Liberia

We were warmly welcomed and got detailed information about the Allgäu Walser Pass, which let us use all the mountain lifts free of charge. We also received great suggestions for excursions and sights nearby. Storing our bicycles in the garage was very convenient. Breakfast was a highlight, with a huge, beautifully presented selection and nothing missing. We spent unforgettable days in the mountains, full of wonderful experiences and impressions. We'll remember this stay for a long time and will gladly return. Thank you!

My table neighbors were friendly and interesting, and the breakfast was plentiful. Everything was clean, the bed was okay, but the annex room was very dark and eccentrically furnished. The hotel itself is quite dated. I spent two nights and left a day early for personal reasons, but paid the full three-day price. When I asked about a room with a balcony on arrival, my question was ignored. On departure I asked to take a bread roll for the eight-hour drive home and didn't get a positive response. If you're reasonably fit, the town is a 15-20 minute walk away. Should I visit Oberstdorf again, I'd book somewhere more expensive.

The breakfast was very plentiful, though the basement breakfast rooms are functional and have no view. Their windows look onto a light well with plants. Guests can get chilled drinks from a fridge at normal prices, self-service. The garden is lovely, and the location is quiet. There's an indoor pool and a garage where bicycles can be stored, both excellent. Everything went smoothly and as expected. It's a good hotel or bed and breakfast, and of course the price reflects the building's age.

The WalserCard is handed out on arrival and gives discounts on events, admission, public transport, and the Nebelhorn cable car. I felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. It's a cozy, affordable, family-run hotel with welcoming hosts and a large garden in bloom. The location is quiet and ideal, with the ice rink, Nebelhorn cable car, ski jumps, and town center all within a ten-minute walk. From the train station, it's about 35 minutes on foot; my taxi cost €7.50. My clean room was functional but charmingly decorated, with a fantastic mountain view. I didn't try the TV, but the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The big, appetizing breakfast buffet with fresh whole-grain rolls was excellent and had everything I wanted. There's a small but adequate pool too.
