The large nearby ski area was a real bonus, and we had a parking spot right outside. The church wakes you early, so you're up with plenty of day ahead. This stylishly modernized apartment is right in the city center, a short 600-meter walk from the Nebelhornbahn cable car. A friendly, relaxed gentleman welcomed us and even carried my wife's suitcase upstairs. The apartment had everything, including towels, kitchen towels, toilet paper, coffee filters and free Wi-Fi.

We were very comfortable in this roomy apartment for two, just a short distance from the town center. Martin was friendly and relaxed from his first message right through to the end, and he checked in with us and shared useful tips after we arrived. You can see from the older and newer Google photos, especially the kitchen, that updates are underway, and the bed looks fairly new too. A bathroom renovation would make this a five-star place.

We had great communication with the landlord, who welcomed our suggestions, including that some dishes were missing. The apartment is practical, and its 1970s bathroom brought back fond memories. From its spot by the market square, you get a partial mountain view and can easily set off for activities in and around Oberstdorf.

A lovely, cozy place, and the landlord was nice.
