Hotel Staffler & Schreiners Restaurant

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the room was clean and modern. We ate well in the restaurant, with a great wine selection. Breakfast was quite limited, though perhaps that was because the hotel was quiet. There are lovely riverside walks nearby and two playgrounds for kids, and there was plenty of parking. It was fine for a stopover, but I hadn't realized when booking that the rooms don't have air conditioning, which was an issue for me. Luckily it wasn't too hot. At this price I expected it to be standard. There's no fridge in the room either. Also, the navigation gives the wrong address and takes you about five minutes farther into the countryside.

Hotel Staffler was a lovely place to settle after spending so much time in big cities like Paris and Brussels. I enjoyed the peaceful little rural town. Although it's outside Munich, bus X732 goes to Pasing, where you can catch S-Bahns into the city if you don't have a car. You might even see farmers working in their fields along the way. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe here. The hotel is extremely clean, breakfast is free with a good range of choices, and it's family owned. The staff were all wonderful, including a very sweet dog! There's no elevator, but the staff are quick to help with luggage on the stairs. I also appreciated coming back from the city to find the bed made, towels folded, and bins emptied each day. It felt worth the money. I suspect some negative reviews come down to particular circumstances or misunderstandings of German cultural expectations and norms. Highly recommended if you want a nice place to stay! For a visit to nearby Dachau, Staffler is a restful, charming choice in a small village, at a reasonable price. The hotel was clean throughout, with stylish decor, a firm mattress, and an updated bathroom. Breakfast was tasty and included, and public transport was easy to use. The staff were kind and professional. I left feeling refreshed.

I stayed here for a month on a business trip. The location is ideal, though at about 90-100 € per day it can be pricey. The rooms and bathrooms were quite clean, and the owners on staff were very nice. Breakfast, which was included in my review, was very good. The main downside is the busy traffic outside, so sleeping with the windows open isn't really possible.
