Gästehaus Sonnenblume

I wouldn't recommend Sonnenblume. For €20 a night, the place in Erlenbach felt expensive for what it offered, which was almost nothing. You have to make your own breakfast, and there's no internet because the owner blamed other guests for watching porn. They don't replace the bed linen, towels, or even toilet paper. There is a washing machine, but it costs an extra €3 and doesn't spin, so I had to wring out the laundry myself.

We booked for seven, but there were only six beds with linens and no dining table big enough for all of us. We were expected to put together our own seating, even though we had checked beforehand what was provided. The place badly needs renovation. The dishes were unusable, and the knives were so blunt that the wobbly handles were the only way to tell where the blades were. The oven had no tray and wouldn't heat up, and there was no coffee maker. We complained only about things listed in the description or normally expected, including enough made beds, seating, working appliances, and the described amenities. Our requirements matched the price range. We would have left right away if we hadn't been stuck there for the weekend. When I made a direct and honest complaint, I was met with silence, then called rude and told they wouldn't respond to my outrageous insults. The owner's reply dated 07/08/18 was just as absurd. It's reassuring to learn that complete strangers apparently know about our financial situation. And hurling personal insults is incredibly brazen. You have no right to judge my experience, naivety, or decency. This keeps getting more absurd. Never again. 09/08/18

The train station is just 20 meters away, but inside the bathroom is a filthy mess. Half the shower curtain is black and the dishwasher doesn't work. There's no trash can, washcloth, dish soap, towel, or anything else. The stove is dirty too. This is just a building, what are people writing about? Calling it a dump feels fair. One star is already generous. I could say a lot more, but I have to put up with it for another three days.

A lone frying pan, a bathroom that's just a puddle, and no chairs or other basic equipment. No internet either. Bottom of the bottom.
