Familotel Allgäuer Berghof

It was a fantastic trip for our family of four, including our four-year-old twin boys. The kids had playgrounds, pools, waterslides, and places to ski and sled, and the food program was good, with drinks and a bar too. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant for parents. We could actually unwind with the kids.

We spent Christmas here with our six-month-old, and everything went smoothly. The childcare was professional, the food was really good, and the pools were clean and kid-friendly. The hotel is friendly and well equipped, with skiing right outside. The resort is small but well kept, and there’s enough to keep a family busy for a week.

The beds and pillows were the one real letdown. Our bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, and the pillows were flat and worn. I think some rooms have been renovated and may have better beds, but the older section clearly hasn’t. It seems you have to pay more for one of the better rooms. There’s so much for kids here that we didn’t even manage to try everything, and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks were delicious, definitely above average for a restaurant.

I went on my own with my three kids, and there was plenty to keep them busy: playgrounds, a kids club, pools, a theatre, and more. The rooms are a little old but comfortable. The food was good, though there wasn’t much variety. One thing I didn’t like was having to book or tell reception what kind of service I wanted to get the room done. We’ll definitely go again.
