Wieting

The restaurant was closed during my stay, which was inconvenient, though I did enjoy the bar. My single room was on the small side, but that didn't bother me much. The bed was comfortable and could be adjusted, and the amenities and shower worked well. Breakfast covered the basics, the location was good, and the staff were helpful.

My room was a little small, but I don't mind that if it's clean and has what I need. The hotel was very tidy, and the staff made me feel welcome and were helpful. Breakfast was great. If you can, sit at one of the tables overlooking the street, though the other tables are nice too.

The staff were very helpful, breakfast was really nice, and the location was great. But rooms facing the main street, Damm, can be noisy at night. I could still hear cars and people talking with the windows shut. One night, a couple next door had a loud argument, and I could hear everything. The walls don't seem very thick, so getting a quiet night feels like a matter of luck.

I've stayed at the Wieting many times for work over the past decade. The rooms have always been clean, tidy, and well kept, and the staff are consistently polite and helpful when I've had issues. Several staff speak very good English, and most can manage a conversation. With the location about 10 minutes from the main town and the service for the price, I can't speak highly enough of the place. I'm looking forward to going back in August. Room tip: ask for a room in the new section. Stayed in February 2018, on a business trip.
