Haus Am Wald

Really great.

We spent a snowy long weekend at Freiheit and were sorry to leave. The house was cozy but still felt upscale, and it had everything we needed. We took lovely hikes straight from the door during the day, then wound down in the evenings by the great fireplace after stopping at the Vis a Vis cabin. Our dog and baby had a wonderful time too. It was the best short break we've had, and we're grateful we got to stay. We'll be back.

The garden at Wiesengrund Apartment has a grill, fire pit, loungers, and a table with benches, and our kids and dog were happy there. We were completely satisfied from the first friendly email and booking through the stay itself. The apartment is nicely furnished, with a balcony looking out at the Bruchhauser Steine rock formations. It was well equipped, including a toaster, coffee maker, an air fryer in the utility room, a nice shower, and a pellet stove in the living room. The location worked really well for us, with lots to explore nearby and around the area. We can easily see ourselves coming back next year, and recommend it without hesitation. House by the Woods, Apartment "The Little Getaway" is a great spot for a restful break, and there are lots of places to visit nearby. I especially liked entering through the garden: first you pass through a vestibule with plenty of hooks for things like skis, then reach the front door. The apartment has what you need, including a lovely bathroom, kitchen utensils, and a wonderful pellet stove. I'm very happy with the stay and would love to return. Best wishes, Annette Fuhrmann-Nolte
