The owners’ attitude to guests changed my opinion completely and left me feeling very uncomfortable at the end of my stay. They treated polite suggestions like an offence and weren’t flexible about guests’ needs or requests. Everything else would have been okay and acceptable, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you want to feel like you’re back at a strict school camp.

The food was great, and the service was very friendly. We had dinner here in a really nice atmosphere.

We live nearby, so we’ll definitely be back soon. We spent a night at Schettel's this weekend after a lovely hike with friends, and the stay was fantastic from arrival to departure. The staff were friendly, attentive, and accommodating, always up for a fun chat. The rooms were lovely and clean, the beds brand new, and the food was amazing and great value for money. 🙂👍

Breakfast was generous and delicious, with care given to quality and what guests wanted. The owner was friendly, the rooms were clean, and the location worked well for us since our wedding reception at the Steinkleffhütte was nearby. We had a good stay. Thank you.
