Landhotel Beverland

The kids had a great time with the billiards table in our family room, playing in the evening and again in the morning. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very good. The chef made scrambled or fried eggs with bacon when asked, alongside a nice choice of quality breakfast items. The adult price seemed fair, though I would have liked a discount for children since they eat less.

The different rooms made the stay memorable, and I got to look at some of my colleagues’ rooms too. They were all interesting, though some design choices were funny and others a little ambiguous. Our team event lasted two days at Beverland, and I came away with a mostly positive impression. I was in room 222 (Africa), which had bull skulls and ritual African masks. It had two floors, with the bathroom and a separate whirlpool downstairs, and the bed and work table upstairs. There was both air conditioning and a fan. The tea set was there, but I couldn’t find an outlet to plug it in. I also couldn’t turn off the downstairs light from the bed upstairs, so going down the stairs in the dark didn’t feel very safe. The shower had a bit of a smell. Those felt like minor issues beside the experience as a whole.

The kids and I loved our boxing ring room. The pool area was nice, and the staff were friendly. Really good place!

We went to a wedding here, and it was a wonderful venue. The food was delicious, the halls looked beautifully decorated, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The pool area is really cool too. We’ll have to come back to try one of the unusual hotel rooms and actually go for a swim next time.
