Hexenstieg House Lerbach

We booked five nights but left after just one, so we ended up paying for four nights we didn’t use. The old building had a musty smell, and its winding rooms weren’t to our taste. There were also spots between rooms where it was easy to trip. The furnishings were very sparse, with low, uncomfortable seats in both the dining area and living room. It felt functional at best, and some pictures or decorations might have made it cozier. With my back problems, staying longer wasn’t possible.

We felt at home here. The historic old house was wonderfully clean, and the bathroom and kitchen were both new and lovely.

It was very quiet, with hardly any traffic, and a perfect base for hiking. I stayed five nights. The apartment was in good shape, and while the room layout was a little unusual, it didn’t cause any problems. I’d rent it again if I’m in the area.

We came back to the holiday apartment in Lerbach for a second visit and were just as delighted. Everything was newly renovated and spotless, and the owner was very friendly. If our health allows, we’ll certainly return next year. We’d happily recommend it.
