Altes Rathaus

The rooms have plenty of space and the bed was comfortable. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, too. It's a beautiful spot right in the town center, close to the bus stop.

The room was small and basic, but that part was okay. What I couldn't get past was the bathroom: the toilet hadn't been cleaned, there were traces left by the previous user, and the shower had hair all over it. The bin also still had that person's used toiletries. It's disgusting and baffling that nobody noticed. The heating was set to 3 and I couldn't turn it down, so the room was too warm for me. Reception was empty shortly after I checked in, and breakfast wasn't offered. From the outside the hotel looked deserted.

For a business night, it was perfectly fine. The rooms have been updated and were very clean, though the open-plan setup may not suit everyone. Outside, the building looks a little odd. With the windows shut, the main road wasn't an issue. With one open, sleeping was pretty difficult. The Wi-Fi password in the room was wrong, and parking was very limited. Google Maps also directed us toward the hotel from the wrong way. Breakfast was okay, but even with lovely weather we had to sit deep inside the café. It would've been nice to sit outside.
