Hotel Altes Kurhaus

The breakfast was fantastic, with egg dishes cooked fresh on request, and the rooms were spacious and thoughtfully furnished. This family-run hotel is in a quiet but central spot, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The terrace beside the hotel is lovely for taking it easy and having a good chat. It's a short walk to the beach along a promenade lined with little shops and restaurants. My wife and I would gladly stay again.

Even without a direct sea view, this hotel has a cozy, welcoming feel that makes it a real Baltic Sea hidden gem. We especially liked the beach chairs in the front garden, a lovely place to relax. The owners run the hotel themselves, and their warmth and attentiveness made us feel at home straight away. If you value peace and personal service, it's well worth a stay. We'll definitely be back. Many thanks to Uwe and Britta for welcoming us so warmly again this year. We booked on the spur of the moment last year, and the friendly atmosphere, excellent service, and willingness to accommodate our requests went beyond what we expected. We were delighted to enjoy their hospitality again this year and would love to return.

Breakfast was plentiful and good, with boiled or fried eggs freshly made each morning. The rooms were good and cleaned when requested, though the bathroom could use a facelift, which was due to be done this fall. The hosts were great, always smiling and friendly. They also gave us useful tips whenever we asked about things to do on Rügen. We were very satisfied.
