We’ll be back. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, and I think we may have been upgraded because our standard room was huge, with a little sitting area and lots of windows. Tea and coffee in the room was a lovely touch. It’s a quirky, affordable place with maritime decor and an impressive breakfast buffet included in the price. The beach is just one row away, the pier is close, and shops and restaurants are an easy walk. Binz is quiet in December, but still charming.

I didn’t like the place at all. The room was dark, with no lights except hidden ones behind the bed, and it wasn’t much otherwise either. There is parking, but I was turned away because I hadn’t booked a space. Nobody told me when I booked that I needed to reserve one, so I was sent to the lot next door and charged 60 euros the next day. I arrived at 8 at night and checked out at 10 in the morning, and was also charged 7 euros per person for some nonsense I still don’t know about. I’m never going to this town or this place again.

The decor may feel old-fashioned, but the hotel is very clean, the staff are friendly, and breakfast is good. It’s fairly priced and well placed for shops, bars, and restaurants, close to the beach and promenade. The main train station is about a 15-minute walk away. All in all, a very good hotel.

The only downside was street noise when we had to leave the windows open in the evening because of the heat. There’s private car parking if a space is available. The hotel is in a great area, and the staff were really helpful and could speak some English.

Right in the middle of Binz, this is a great hotel with lovely nautical-style interiors. The rooms were clean, breakfast was plentiful, and the staff were absolutely fantastic.
