Residenz Dnenstrae

The only drawback for me was the top-floor balcony, which has neither a roof nor an awning. Otherwise, it's a fantastic little one-room apartment, cozy and surprisingly well furnished, with nothing missing. We'd gladly stay again.

We were woken every morning at 6:30 by the dog in the neighboring apartment, since the building is so poorly soundproofed. The apartment was fairly clean, but it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke when we arrived, and the beds made a loud noise with even the slightest movement.

Apartment number 16 felt bare and not very cozy. A couple of cushions or a blanket would've helped, and the furniture seemed carelessly arranged and not especially good quality. The chairs were very worn, and there was no bulb under the sink. I also found dust and cobwebs in some corners. The wall radio wouldn't pick up any stations, and some of the brochures were already a few years old.

We were in holiday apartment No. 5 on Dünnenstrasse from the end of December 2023. The hygiene was especially disappointing: there were lots of silverfish, even in the cups, which was both disgusting and unhygienic. The shower only ran lukewarm and drained badly, so the whole bathroom flooded pretty quickly if we weren't careful. Check-in was hectic and the handover incomplete. We got no instructions for the underground parking garage, and there were problems with the linen package. I also agree with Christian's comments about the furnishings. We had hoped for a pleasant stay, but it didn't meet our expectations. The rental company showed no understanding or goodwill. It seemed they were only interested in making money.
