Villa Strandblick by Rujana

We had a lovely August holiday here as a family of three, including our 1.5-year-old, and Sander Touristik supplied a baby cot. The village view from our second-floor balcony was nice, and even in the summer heat, keeping the blinds down made the temperature comfortable. The apartment was modern and very clean, with a well-stocked kitchen: full-size stove and oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, filter coffee machine, egg cooker, and more. The bathroom was spotless too. The beach is a five-minute walk away, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Ours was booked through Sander Touristik. Just be aware that access is by steep stairs, which was fine for us, and the basement washing machine is outrageously expensive: €1 for each 30 minutes, plus another €1 to unlock it if you arrive too late.

The playground across the street was a real plus for the children, and the market and promenade are both close enough to reach on foot. The apartment is right by the seafront, less than 20 meters from the front door. There's a beach chair on the terrace too, lovely for a quiet afternoon in the sun.

There's a beach chair included, which goes a long way toward making up for the busy setting. The building sits right on the beach promenade, so evenings can bring plenty of people and cooking smells. Still, this is a lovely apartment with everything you need and a side balcony looking out toward the Baltic Sea. 😊

The apartment itself was okay, though the furnishings need updating. What made this stay so upsetting was the lack of water at the sinks in both bathrooms when we arrived. We were told to wash our hands over the bathtub, which was extremely difficult with three small children. They couldn't fix it during our entire five-day stay. We had paid a lot for four nights, over a four-figure sum, and when we asked for even a small credit for the inconvenience, they refused. I felt incredibly foolish for paying so much and then being treated that way. Never again!
