The bedroom is upstairs on the second level, reached by a very steep staircase. The place was very clean, and there are two bikes for exploring. It’s in a lovely spot by the bay near Sellin, about a five-minute drive from the famous Seebrücke. Besitzer is always available if you have questions.

We left after just three hours. The apartment clearly hadn't been cleaned: the previous guests' dirty dishes were still in the dishwasher, there were no towels or bed linens, and the TV didn't work. After we complained, they said it would get a thorough clean the next morning, which meant we were supposed to sleep in an apartment that hadn't been disinfected. During a pandemic! They still refuse to refund us. A scandal!

Hafen Hotel Neuensien is set up well for campers, and you can also rent holiday rooms there. I don't know what they cost, unfortunately.

The lake may be right outside, but you can't reach it because the reeds have completely overgrown the way. It could suit someone looking for peace and quiet, though the house has very poor soundproofing and noise from the apartments above is to be expected. There's a bakery and restaurants nearby, but for more to do you'll have to go farther afield. Inside, the apartment smelled musty and stale, and the furniture looked like it was from the 90s. Cleanliness and upkeep were poor, with dirt and cobwebs in the corners and stains on the curtains. The shower broke on the second day of our holiday, nobody fixed it, and we left a day early. There was no guest service at all. No Wi-Fi or cell reception either.
