Villa Odin Leuchtfeuer

The balcony was the best part for us: huge, with a table, chairs, and a comfy sitting area. Since it looks onto Wilhelmstrasse, you can hear people passing and the nearby restaurants’ conversations and laughter from morning through evening. We didn’t mind, though it may matter to some. The bedroom faces the side and stays very quiet. We rented apartment 11 "Freya" and were very happy with it. It was clean and tastefully decorated, and the kitchen had lots of thoughtful extras, from baking paper and a bottle opener to wine and wheat beer glasses. There was plenty of cutlery for two, plus bowls and a placemat for our dogs. We’d gladly choose this apartment again for another holiday in the area.

The setting is lovely, with the beach and several restaurants not far away. The house itself is nice too, but it feels like upkeep may have slipped because guests will come regardless. Some stair edges in the stairwell are broken, and my child tripped on one. By the main entrance, a paving stone sticks up right beside the steps, an obvious trip hazard that should be easy to fix. These small things matter when nobody wants an accident during a vacation.

Getting there and leaving were straightforward, thanks to the detailed information sent by email beforehand, and there’s parking right behind the house. Villa Odin/ Shell Seeker in Sellin has a relaxed feel, with a roomy, tastefully furnished holiday apartment. The pier, restaurants, and other places to spend time are all within walking distance. It’s a great spot for a restful holiday.

A clean, stylish place and a great stay. I’d definitely recommend it.
