Ferienhaus Ursel in Otterndorf

There were five of us, and we all had enough space. The bedrooms had plenty of room for our luggage, and everything was spotless. The double bed felt softer than we’re used to, but we slept well and had no back pain. The living room was spacious and welcoming, even when the weather was bad. The place is cozy, thoughtfully furnished, and has everything you could need. We came for the Ascension Day weekend and wished we could have stayed longer. We’d happily choose it again next time and recommend it.

That bright dining room was a real treat, and the terrace gets afternoon sun for hours. The house itself was very clean, cozy, and furnished with lovely attention to detail. Our week went by too fast to see all the nearby sights or follow all of Mrs. Zachau’s tips. The landlady was friendly and accommodating. We’d gladly come back.

The landlady was friendly, trustworthy, and easy to reach by phone, and she dealt with any issues quickly. We had a great stay in a quiet, relaxing location, with supermarkets including Aldi, Lidl, and Edeka about a five-minute drive away. The supermarket is also open on Sundays. It’s around 4 km to the beach, or about five minutes by car to the dike, beach, and lakes. The spacious home had everything we needed, including an induction hob, plus a garden and a large 65-inch TV. Our two little ones had plenty of room to play in the living room. A freezer compartment would have been handy, but otherwise it was top-notch. At €65 a night in high season, we’d gladly stay again and highly recommend it.

We’d love to return next year. The house is only a few minutes’ walk from the town center and beach, and a canoe trip on the Medem River is a fun option, with rentals just one house away. Inside, it’s newly renovated, cozy, lovingly furnished, and spotless, with everything you could want. Greetings from the Ruhr area!
