Comfort Hotel Atlantic Muenchen Sued

The staff could be friendlier, but the room itself was much nicer and more comfortable than the photos online suggested. It was spotless, quiet, and set up in a businesslike style. Breakfast was good, parking was free, and we were welcomed with a bottle of water.

It’s a charming little hotel with a nice buffet breakfast. Just keep in mind that it’s a bit far from central Munich.

The location worked really well for getting around by car. We reached the autobahn quickly and drove out to the castles and Salzburg. There isn’t much good food within walking distance, though Kadu, a few blocks away, was a standout. Shops seemed to close early, and from what I could tell it wasn’t easy to get to a market. It’s not the place for late-night city life, but it suited us as an affordable base for trips out of town. The staff were kind and tried to speak English even when it was difficult for them. When a delayed flight made me worry about losing our reservation, I called several times and they were understanding and flexible. Breakfast was satisfying for 10 euro, and the vending machines on each floor seemed to stay stocked with beer and candy. The parking lot is free but rather tight. There weren’t enough bathroom hooks for our things, and the floor edges on the first floor made it hard to wheel suitcases around. Those were minor annoyances. The bigger problem was that the wifi went out for a day. I was on a leisure trip but still working remotely now and then, and had to postpone an online meeting because of it.

Breakfast was good, and the bed was comfortable, though the carpeted rooms felt a bit old-fashioned. We arrived late and asked the male receptionist whether pets were free. He said they were included, and we would have chosen another nearby hotel if he’d said otherwise. The next day, we were charged 7 euro. When I explained this to the female receptionist, she just said it was 7 euro anyway. That’s no way to deal with customers. Just be fair.
