The friendly staff made us feel very welcome and went out of their way for us. For example, they arranged for us to watch Eurovision. The food was delicious, with a simple menu but very good quality and flavor. I’d recommend the “Klassischer Flammkuchen” for dinner, it was divine! It was great value for money, and we had a very positive stay. One of the better hotels I’ve stayed in.

We keep choosing this lovely hotel for New Year's, and we're already looking forward to coming back next year. The Siebert family always puts so much care into making our stay relaxing, and we really appreciate it. Its spot right by the train station makes getting around easy, with scenic narrow-gauge trips to Johnsdorf and Zittau. It's also a handy base for hikes throughout the Zittau Mountains. A delicious breakfast makes setting off to explore even nicer.

Nights were really quiet, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was fresh, wholesome, and nicely laid out. Being right by the narrow-gauge railway station and the town center made it easy to get around without a car, and there was parking too 😉. I'd gladly stay again.

The Siebert family welcomed us so warmly and shared helpful hiking ideas and tips for excellent restaurants. We were in Oybin over New Year's and stayed at the Hotel am Berg. Our room was spotless and well cared for, and breakfast was very good with friendly service. Thanks for such a lovely visit!
