Ferienhaus Rügen

The house won us over right away. We came to Rügen in February for a few quiet days, after first considering hotels. My girlfriend found this place, and the price and photos both looked great. By our first Saturday there, we already knew we’d booked too short a stay. We loved Rügen and the Baltic Sea, but somehow we were just as taken with the house. It’s bright and spacious, with stylish furnishings and a big garden, and the cleanliness was spotless. The equipment was unlike anything we’d seen in another holiday home, and it was all included. The kitchen was so well stocked it had more than I could offer my girlfriend at home. There are two bathrooms, one with a big tub and a separate shower, plus a washer and dryer, a grill, and garden furniture. When we called, the owner, Mrs. Weise, and her husband even lent us an HDMI cable. Thanks again for that! Work meant we had to leave the following Tuesday, but we promised each other we’d return. The next visit would depend on whether this house was available. We came back in June, and that first impression held up. We’d booked Saturday to Wednesday and felt at home again straight away. Ms. Weise recognized us, and it’s hard to imagine a warmer welcome. We had lovely days on Rügen, but Tuesday arrived far too soon. Then my girlfriend got a call from Ms. Weise. Some guests had unexpectedly left early, so she offered us two more nights in one of her holiday apartments on the promenade in Binz. We were delighted and accepted at once. The apartment wasn’t furnished to the same level as the house, but we had no complaints. Open a window or step onto the balcony and there’s the Baltic Sea right in front of you, with the waves audible. Amazing. So yes, we’ve fallen for Rügen and for Ms. Weise, platonically, of course. We’ll be back, and we’ll stay only in Mrs. Weise’s places. Call us naive, uptight, or whatever you like, but for us there’s no other option on Rügen.
