Breakfast was plentiful, fresh, and delicious, and they were happy to handle special requests. There are also lots of restaurants close by. The rooms are modern and clean, check-in was easy, and the owner was friendly. Wi-Fi and TVs are available in every room and in the breakfast room, and there’s a modern kitchen, though we didn’t use it. The mattress felt a little too soft to me, but that’s just my preference, so I wouldn’t count it as a downside. The place is a bit outside the city center, by the canal, though you can cycle into town easily and there’s a rental shop across the street. The shipyard is easy to reach by car. If I visit again, I’d definitely stay here. It’s affordable and comfortable accommodation in Papenburg.

The owners were friendly and gave us tips about local restaurants and sights. We felt very comfortable and would gladly recommend this nice, clean guesthouse. Our room had a spacious bathroom with a toilet, and the clean double bed was comfortable. The landlady made the bed every day and provided fresh towels. Thanks again, we had a really great stay!

The café is cozy, and the cakes are delicious and fantastic. Breakfast was generous, and we felt very comfortable. There are a few small things that could be better, but they don’t really matter. A great choice, especially if you’re cycling. Highly recommended.

The breakfast is top-notch, with a beautifully set table and everything you could want for a good meal. Our spacious room was clean, and I sleep really well in the beds. There’s secure bicycle storage in the locked garage, too. We’ve stayed here four times, and it was fantastic as usual. We love the location in the "old" part of Papenburg, rather than the "new" part, and it’s great for cyclists. The "von Velen Anlage" is worth a visit as well. Highly recommended.
