The restaurant was a real highlight for me. I had one dinner there and the seafood was very good, though there weren't any halal choices. Breakfast also had a pretty good selection, and shops and restaurants were close enough to walk to. The room felt basic, with hardwood floors and plasticky curtains, and the TV looked tiny, maybe around 32 inches or just a little larger. The staff were excellent, though. They went out of their way to arrange a cab at a very late hour and gave me a takeaway doggy bag instead of the breakfast I'd paid for but couldn't use. I'd asked about a refund first, but was told that wasn't available.

The breakfasts were delicious and had lots of variety, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The place is clean and good value. It's a lovely, cozy atmosphere made out of an old building that didn't need to be there anymore. I liked it all. Thank you!

We slept really well because there aren't busy roads nearby, so it was very quiet. The hotel sits right by the canal, and it was easy to wander through the little town and look around. Driving there takes a bit of care, but it's manageable, and you get to go under the old crane. The young staff were warm and helpful, doing their best to make us comfortable. There was a good choice of food and drinks in the restaurant, with a nice atmosphere. I can very much recommend staying here.

The front desk and restaurant teams really made my two weeks at the Alte Werf great. They made my work trip feel amazing, and the food was awesome. It's in a great spot, quiet and tidy. My company covered the bill, so I can't say much about the cost, but I think the hotel should be mid-range. It's not a fancy five-star place, just perfect for a few days as a tourist or while traveling through. I can truly recommend it to anyone. Great staff, keep it up!

The rooms are spacious and quiet, and the food is good quality. It still feels much like it did when I last visited 15 years ago, but that isn't a bad thing since the original standard was good. It's a traditional German hotel, with solid furnishings and service. I'm still not keen on those big pillows.
