The food was amazingly delicious, and dinner is definitely something you shouldn't miss. We checked in at 15:00 and dinner service began at 16:00. There are only a few traditional dishes on the menu, but still some variety to choose from. The salad that comes with a meal was unlike any I've had before, and the chef came over to ask how we liked the food. Try the pumpkin soup too. The dining area feels calm and warm, making it easy to relax, and the place has a rustic feel and a history. Our room was perfect for the three of us, with an extra sofa bed for our daughter. It was quiet and very clean, and we all slept well. We stayed one night. Breakfast was fresh and offered plenty to choose from, including different salamis, cheeses, a few cereals, yogurt, jam, and more. The place itself is very nice and clean. I recommend it.

We found this lovely place while hiking and stopped for just a beer. The server was wonderful. We tried out a few German words, but once she realized we spoke English, she switched to English. Such a kind gesture. This Canadian really appreciated the experience, thank you!

The scenery was so attractive, and the beer was tasty, but the staff were unfriendly and forgot my order. The fries were greasy, and the latte was more like coffee with milk, though it wasn't bad.

The hotel and restaurant are in a peaceful forest area, with walking and jogging trails nearby. The rooms were clean and modern, with Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, and the accommodation was great. The restaurant serves local dishes, everything tastes good, and the portions are generous. They serve beer brewed locally in Passau, and parking is free for guests. Getting there is a little tricky. The access road is a 4 km single shared lane. At one point there's a 300-degree turnaround on a slope. Don't try to turn there, since there's not enough room to steer in one move and you could end up stuck across the road, facing downhill. Continue another 50 m to a wider section built for turning around. A sign warns about the sharp turn and shows the way, but it's hard to see.
