4/10
The wellness area was nice and a real plus, but I expected something more upscale. The Wi-Fi was really poor. I couldn’t hold an online meeting without interruptions and lag, and people couldn’t hear me. Even loading messages in our internal chat was a problem. Some modernization would help too: the TVs are old and aren’t smart TVs, so I couldn’t log into my video-on-demand services. There’s no coffee maker either, just a water boiler and some coffee powder.

I don’t have much to add to what the negative reviews already say. The team needs better training. As a guest, you’re made to feel like your stay is a burden instead of being welcomed.

The deluxe room was incredibly outdated, and the bed was hard and squeaky. The air conditioning didn’t work, the toilet wouldn’t flush properly, and the shower kept switching unexpectedly between dangerously hot and cold. Staff didn’t offer any compensation. They did waive the parking fee, but they hadn’t mentioned it in the first place.

10/10
That bed was so comfortable, I had a great night’s sleep. The staff were friendly, and I have no complaints about my stay. The restaurant upstairs handled a large crowd brilliantly, and the food was great. Watching the waiters and waitresses work felt like seeing an art form in motion, kudos to them! It’s a great place to stay in Pforzheim and can clearly organize conferences for large groups.

8/10
Parking was great, the lobby and dining areas looked handsome, and breakfast was a real treat. The bedding was terrific and the staff fantastic. It’s an older property, but well appointed and maintained. There was a water spot on the ceiling above the bed, a little creepy, though not a real problem and easy to repair if reported to management. The bathroom sink clogged after we checked in. We arrived late and couldn’t sort our things out for a maintenance visit, so we worked around it. Not a major issue, but still.
