We found this beautiful gem while biking the Trans Bayerwald. Since the trail stage starts and ends here, the location is perfect. After a whole day of rain, we arrived filthy, wet, and covered in mud. The staff greeted us warmly, let us wash our bikes, and gave us a warm place to dry our wet clothes. They really go above and beyond to take care of you, and we can't say enough good things about this hotel. The food is exceptional, with huge portions and a menu that changes daily. Breakfast was heaven. Our room was large and comfortable, and the wellness center was relaxing. We met several people in the dining area who return here, and we would too. It's Bavarian hospitality at its best. They make you feel like family, as if you've been coming for years. A highlight of our trail trip, and highly recommended!

The setting, the staff, and the food all came together for a truly memorable stay. We spent eight relaxing days there with our two dogs, and it felt like a one-of-a-kind experience.

We were cycling through the area and dropped in for dinner, which we ate out on the quiet back patio. The owner said in conversation that we were the first Americans to visit. We only came for the meal, but the staff made us feel welcome and were attentive and friendly. There was a good range of dishes, and everything we tried was excellent.
