I was in town to hike and spend time outdoors, so I didn't get to enjoy the hotel's lovely lobby for long. My room was right at the top, up 92 steps, and there isn't an elevator. I stayed one night while visiting Germany in the summer of 2025. The rooms have been recently renovated, and the air conditioning worked well, though the lovely weather meant I didn't really need it. Still, it was nice to cool off before bed. Breakfast was pleasant but basic.

The hotel was great and the trickling toilet didn't affect my stay. I did have to keep the bathroom door shut through the night, though.

Bacharach is a charming little town and a great base for exploring the Rhine valley by boat, bike or train. We had a lovely stay at the charming hotel, and the owners were very helpful. The rooms have air conditioning, though we didn't need it during our visit.

We stayed for three nights in the Deluxe Suite with Whirlpool and enjoyed it thoroughly. The decor might not suit everyone, but the bed was huge and comfortable, and the shower felt spacious and luxurious. There was something for everyone at the extensive breakfast buffet. I'd absolutely recommend it!
