Kettern Urlaub

We only stayed one night, though we immediately wished we could cancel the rest of our cycling trip and stay longer. There were seven of us, all adults, riding along the Moselle. The welcome was warm and accommodating, and the very large terrace looking over the vineyards and river was fantastic. It’s peaceful here: the road in front is residential, and behind the house are vineyards and the cycle path toward the Moselle. Our rooms were clean and a good size. The little balconies are quite small, but with sun loungers, chairs and tables on the lovely terrace, we didn’t miss having more space outside our rooms. There’s a fridge stocked with the hotel’s own wines; its noise didn’t bother us. For breakfast, guests write down what they’d like the evening before. The friendly owner prepared exactly what we requested, and the table was full. We were told we could ask for more, though we didn’t need to. The approach of serving what people want to avoid food waste made sense to us, and the selection didn’t feel limited. Piesport has a large Edeka for everyday shopping, as well as some lovely restaurants, including a few right by the Moselle.
