Weingut Lehnert-Veit Gutshotel

The garden overlooks the Mosel, which made a lovely setting for our tasting. The owner picked the wines for us, and we enjoyed them. They suited our tastes.

We keep coming back to this guest house when touring Germany and Western Europe, and have stayed here several times over the last 10 years. It backs onto the Mosel in the lovely village of Piesport, with a beautiful garden where you can eat or have a drink while looking out over the river. The food has always been fantastic, with plenty to choose from, and breakfast is good too. The vineyards are right across the river, so the locally grown and made wine is delicious. We'd highly recommend a stay here.

The staff made us feel welcome, and breakfast was plentiful, with the usual European basics. Our room was large and very quiet, with two separate living areas and a big balcony. It looked newly remodeled, and the two nights we spent here were restful. The property is beautiful inside and out, with a well-kept beer garden overlooking the Mosel where you can enjoy a meal and some wine. The bike path runs beside the property along the river, and there's a large secure bike room with electrical outlets for charging. The place is bike friendly.

The picturesque surroundings and warm hospitality make this a pleasure to stay at, whatever the weather.
