Best Western City Hotel Pirmasens

Parking was safe and right on site, and the hotel was well placed for walking into Pirmasens. The room was very clean, with comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom was tiny but worked fine, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. There’s beer, wine, and other drinks for sale at the front desk. When we went down after the desk had closed, we were surprised to find an honor system and could pay the next day. My family emigrated to the US in the 1800s, so being able to set foot on this land meant a lot to me. Its history is very sad, but the people today are friendly. It was an honor to visit the Protestant Lutheran Church and the Historical Foundation in downtown Pirmasens.

A miserable, uncomfortable night, and thankfully I only had to stay one night. The rooms are tiny, traffic is noisy, and there’s no soundproofing. There was no internet, no staff after 7pm, and the shower drain in my room was blocked. The service was terrible. Grim.

The rooms were clean and adequate, but I found the price high for what you get, especially compared with other hotels in Numberg where breakfast was included. The receptionist could barely speak or understand English.

We came back to Pirmasens this year and stayed at the Best Western Hotel. We’d been stationed here many years ago, and even though the military base has long been closed, the town has always stayed close to our hearts. It was a GREAT experience. The bedroom was amazingly comfortable, with a separate living room and a modern bathroom with a heated towel rack. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and impressive. Every staff member was professional, friendly, and accommodating, and Dirk went above and beyond to help. Thank you, Mr. Dirk! I highly recommend the Best Western Hotel in Pirmasens Germany.
