Hotel Zum Grünen Baum

We were comfortable throughout our cycling trip stay at the Grüner Baum (Green Tree). The room was lovely and stayed quiet even though it faced the street, thanks to the double-glazed windows. It had air conditioning, and there was storage for our bikes. Everything was furnished with care and taste.

The breakfast buffet is well stocked and available from 6 a.m. In the evening, there’s a good café/restaurant in the building, and if you don’t find what you want there, several other places to eat are just a two-minute walk away in the city center. The modern rooms bring out some features of the historic old building in a tasteful way. Even though it’s right on the main road, the good insulation makes the location no problem. I’m always glad to come back here 👍

Room 33 was great, with air conditioning, a large bathroom, and a really comfortable bed. The towel was especially huge, bigger than any I’d had before. There’s no elevator, which might bother some people, but it didn’t bother me. A fantastic hotel for the price.

I was in Plattling for work, and even with the Covid restrictions, I have no complaints about the Grüner Baum. The rooms were clean and modern, and there was plenty of breakfast. I’d happily recommend it.
