The room was spacious and well kept, and the hotel itself had a nice, modern look. We enjoyed strolling by the lake and through the forest, with little cafes easy to reach nearby. The restaurant served good food in generous portions at very reasonable prices. We spent a weekend there at the end of January, using a smartbox-voucher that covered one 4 course dinner, the sauna-area and breakfast on both mornings. The sauna is unisex and all natural, which is simply part of the culture. As is common in much of Germany, English isn’t generally expected, so we did have a bit of a communication barrier. The staff were happy to point and gesture, though, and we managed fine. All in all, a very nice stay.

The hotel was very nice, with quite modern rooms and friendly staff. It’s really close to the beach, and reception even gave us towels to take down there, which was a lovely service. My downsides were the lack of air-conditioning in my room, dust and insects above the window, and rather dim bathroom lighting. The rest of the room was very clean.

It seems like a nice place for summer, but I stayed for two winter nights. The beds were uncomfortable, with hard, thin pillows and lightweight summer blankets. I had two difficult nights trying to sleep because of the beds and the cold. Breakfast was poor one morning and good the other.

The staff were nice, but the food was ridiculously overpriced for what you get. All five of us ordered, and all five of us were disappointed. The risotto looked like watery mush. And skip the salad, it’s TINY.

The surrounding area was beautiful, and the food was excellent. Our room was very large and spotlessly clean, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating.
