Floating Village Brombachsee

A really pretty, peaceful area, with a lovely lake set among woods and nature. In spring and summer there’s plenty to do, including a boat that goes across the lake with a bar and fun parties onboard. Bring a bicycle if you can, there are lots of cycling roads. There are also shops where you can get food, drinks, and other things. In winter and fall, though, those services and access to the village are temporarily closed. Parking for cars is limited. Recommended!

We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and the location gave us lots of choices for activities and places to eat. It was very kid-friendly, too. The villas had everything needed to cook and store food, and although there’s no restaurant at the Floating Village, they offer breakfast and dinner delivery, which was a nice touch. The service took care of all our needs, and the stay exceeded our expectations. I work in hospitality and run a travel agency based in Washington DC. I’ve visited over 40 countries and stayed at some very luxurious places, and this one is simply wonderful. The villas are gorgeous and well made, the customer service is great, and it’s worth every penny. Every detail seemed to have been considered. Don’t expect a traditional hotel stay. It’s a place to unwind, whether you’re on a family trip or a romantic getaway. Highly recommend. We’ll definitely return!

The houses are great and unlike the usual hotels, and the people are very friendly.
