A great room on the first floor, with a lake view 😍

We can’t recommend this hotel. On our first day, the vending machine gave us a glass bottle with visible mold. There was no apology, just the explanation that it was probably from the machine sweating. I only wanted a glass of water because I had a headache, and turned down a refund. The owner was clearly annoyed. The room was old and sparsely furnished, though breakfast was adequate. The landlady was very friendly, but the owner wasn’t. The next day we asked about renting e-bikes and wanted a quick look at them, and he rudely brushed us off: “I’m fed up, I don’t have time for this, please go somewhere else.” I’ve rarely been treated like that as a guest. We only read the other reviews afterward. We should have checked them first.

The trimaran landing stage, the harbor, and the large swimming bay are all within walking distance, making this a handy base for bike rides around the lake and nearby area. There’s parking outside and a bike garage with power for charging e-bikes. The rooms are clean and practical, if a little old-fashioned. The host was friendly. The restaurant is no longer open because of staffing problems, though we were lucky to find it open one day. The roulades were delicious, just like Mom used to make, and fairly priced. We’ll be back!

A quiet little village beside beautiful Brombachsee, surrounded by nature. It’s great for families and cyclists, and e-bikes are available to rent. Breakfast was varied and the buffet kept getting replenished. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We’d love to return.
