We’ve contacted Booking and are still waiting to hear back. The owners brushed us off when we asked them to call Booking and sort out what they said was a system error, telling us to deal with it ourselves. Our reservation clearly showed two adults and two children, and we have proof, yet they insisted on another €40 for the children. I’ve used Booking for years and have never had an experience this bad, being charged more than the price I booked. I’m sure they knew what we’d reserved and could have told us before we arrived, but instead we were left to deal with it at the property. At 10 PM, with children along, we had to stay even though we’d rather have left. It’s not really about the €40, it’s about the principle and basic decency.

After a long day driving, this is just the sort of place you hope to find. The restaurant feels cosy and serves good food. The staff are friendly, the rooms are good, the beds are comfortable, and breakfast is great.
