I was happy with my five-night stay. The hotel is close to the main train station, and you can walk or take the tram to city centre attractions. My room was clean and nicely decorated, with useful extras, a kitchenette and equipment, a small fridge, and a capsule coffee machine. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was spacious and clean, with towels and shampoo provided. The staff were kind and helpful, and I had a nice time. There’s a breakfast option, though I didn’t try it, plus a bar with a nice atmosphere. If the price works for you, I’d happily book.

A perfectly fine standard hotel for a Potsdam visit, with some free parking nearby. Everything worked as expected apart from the heating. The room’s AC unit took a while to warm it up and got very loud at full power. Wi-Fi also dropped out now and then and wouldn’t allow VPN connections. Otherwise, no complaints.

The rooms are nice and the location is very good, but the kitchen setup was a big disappointment for my planned long stay. Despite what the booking listing and the hotel’s official site used to say, there was no stove, just a small microwave with no oven function, and there wasn’t a kettle either. The manager didn’t seem especially keen to sort it out, though they did give me a 20% discount for the mistake.

Potsdam was beautiful on my fourth visit, but this stay made it hard to enjoy the city. I was there for ten nights and found the hotel poorly managed, with poor service. There was a reservation mix-up, and my room went uncleaned for seven days, so it was cleaned only once during the whole stay. They also charged my corporate card twice. My emails asking them to deal with it got no reply, and I had to involve the bank. If this had been my first visit, I might have come away thinking Potsdam wasn’t a nice city.
