Being able to walk to the train station for trips to Berlin, as well as to Sanssouci Palace and the other palaces and gardens, was a big reason we chose this hotel. We had four wonderful days there and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

For €214.40, this was a zero-star experience. The toilet wasn't in the room, and it was either not cleaned at all or cleaned very badly, with brown splashes (see photos). The bathroom smelled musty, the room had been "renovated" poorly, and the stairwell was dirty. Breakfast was below standard. Maybe at €60-70 it would have been acceptable. I'd booked an early arrival room and got confirmation by email, but nothing was ready when I arrived. Staff seemed overwhelmed and check-in was a problem. I couldn't find the iron either.

It's a shame there's no restaurant here, just breakfast.

Breakfast was fine, and parking is limited. The elevator is still broken, and when I asked, there wasn't another one available. I had to carry my things around.
