There’s an office if you need help, but otherwise nobody bothers you. The apartment-style setup comes with complete household equipment, which makes the price pretty economical compared with regular hotels. I stayed in the second half of August and was lucky to get a lake-facing room in this lakeside part of Potsdam. I’m a night owl who gets up late and usually doesn’t expect a morning, but I looked forward to waking up to the sunshine and lake view each day.

You’ll need to sort out your own breakfast, but this is a great base for exploring Potsdam. The spacious, modern apartments were clean and had a nice lake view. There are two dinner spots close by and two tram lines nearby, and I’d recommend staying here for either a short or a longer visit.

There’s no food service at these serviced apartments, so keep that in mind. Otherwise, the price is quite acceptable, especially with the nearby lake view, and public transport is pretty good. The staff were always accommodating, and more often than not let us use the room even though we arrived four hours before check-in.

My corner apartment was really spacious and well equipped, and the stay was super comfortable. I was only there for two nights, and the booking system showed just two different rooms available across those nights. The Waveboard crew arranged one apartment for the whole stay so I wouldn’t have to move. I’d do it again.

The rooms are clean and spacious, but the Wi-Fi is only so-so. This place is OK if you have a car and speak Deutsch. Without a car and with English, I wouldn’t recommend it: it’s far from everything, and there’s nowhere nearby to get food or even water, especially if you arrive late.
