Amaroo - Apartments Potsdam “Brandenburger Tor”

The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and breakfast had a delightful range of options. The hotel has boutique charm, with fewer rooms giving it an intimate, personal feel. One small quirk is the elevator, since you may need to switch elevators for some rooms. Hotel Brandenburger Tor Potsdam is perfectly situated right beside the iconic Brandenburg Gate in Potsdam, with restaurants, cozy cafés, shops, and a bus stop just steps away. The famous Sanssouci Palaces are within walking distance. Look for packages that include free breakfast, room upgrades with minibars, and tickets to the world-class Barberini Museum, where you can see some of the greatest Impressionist works. It's a great way to add to your stay.

The historic surroundings and nearby restaurants make this such a lovely spot. My room was clean and thoughtfully decorated, the front desk staff were warm and helpful, and breakfast was excellent.

The Wi-Fi kept buffering so badly that I couldn't work or keep in touch with loved ones. For a hotel charging this much, I'd expect fast internet. A few repeaters seem like all it would take, and I don't understand why they aren't provided. Breakfast was decent, but not worth the price. It's a shame, but I can't recommend this place in this day and age.

We found the three-bedroom apartment to be great value for the amount of space and its location. It looked newly renovated, and the staff were really friendly. Great hotel, and I can only recommend it to anyone visiting Potsdam.
