The only thing that let us down was seeing hand workers arrive for breakfast without masks during COVID. The rooms themselves were clean, nicely decorated, and well equipped. It's also not far from Berlin or Potsdam center.

We loved having our own little patio, and the restaurant downstairs was absolutely amazing.

The room was tidy and clean, though parts of it felt dated. The toilet seat and shower head in particular could do with replacing. The location suited my needs perfectly, and breakfast service was quite good. Arriving was a frustrating start. Nobody was at reception, which is generally fine when there's a PIN key box, but I hadn't been sent a PIN or told when reception would be staffed. It seems to be unattended most of the time. At about 2:30 p.m. I spent half an hour trying the hotel's mobile, landline, and email before someone called back around 3:00 p.m. and gave me the key and PIN. I was close to giving up and finding another hotel. I needed the Wi-Fi to work, but the information folder said to get the password from reception, which was closed. I called again and waited about 10 minutes for a callback. When I politely asked for the password, the reply was curt, and the call ended as soon as I got it. Given how check-in had gone, that felt unprofessional and unwelcoming.
