The children’s Easter baskets waiting in our room were such a thoughtful welcome, and the decorations made the hotel feel especially festive. We had a lovely family stay and would happily come back with young kids. There was lots for the children to enjoy, from the well-equipped playroom to the pool and spacious yard. Traveling with our two little ones felt easy and fun here. The only disappointment was the mixed message about children using the sauna. We weren’t told about any restriction, but another guest and a staff member said small children shouldn’t be there, which cut our time short. Reception later confirmed there was no such rule. That confusion left a slightly bitter note on an otherwise fantastic visit.

The lake view from my room was perfect, and the room itself was spacious and nicely decorated. The location was great, and it was very quiet at night. Staff were friendly, helpful, and capable. There’s also a nice fitness studio, and the bed was comfortable.

There’s plenty to do beyond the hotel, and the people here are friendly. The hotel sits right by the lake with an amazing view. It also has a spa, an indoor pool, a nice little bar, a restaurant, and more.

The sauna, pool, gym, and relaxation room were all very nice and clean, and the staff were friendly and mostly competent. The location overlooking Chiemsee is great, but our second-floor room was disappointing. It looked as though only the carpet had been refreshed, with everything else left original. Paint was coming off the headboard, the towel warmer had seen better days, and the hairdryer was nearly on its last legs. The bathroom was very small and awkward, with a shower glass barrier that was too short. There was no laundry bag. The TV was mounted at the far end of the room without a tilting bracket, making it really uncomfortable to watch from bed. There were ashtrays on the balcony like something from the 80s. We couldn’t sit outside because smoke from the next-door guests drifted onto our balcony and into our room. Why is smoking still allowed on balconies when it bothers other guests?

It’s a picturesque spot, with easy access for getting around and going hiking. The staff were great, and the rooms were very clean.
